Job summary

A major waste management company in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver/Loader. You will provide essential waste and recycling services while working closely with a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a strong commitment to service. This full-time role offers a salary of £34,997.02 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Qualifications

  • Collect waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
  • Ensure vehicle safety checks are completed before setting out.

Salary: £34,997.02 per annum + excellent benefits

Full Time: 40 hours per week

Working hours: Monday - Friday 6.00am - 2.30pm with occasional Saturday work & Bank Holidays.

As a HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver/Loader in our Basingstoke team, you'll provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents and community in Basingstoke. With a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse Collection staff, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.

Responsibilities
  • You will set off on a pre-planned route as the driver with your team of Loaders you've are working with collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
  • You will be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services team in the community.
  • Before setting out on your rounds, you will ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready.
