Job summary

A waste management company is seeking an HGV Driver in Tonbridge for a 3-month contract. You will be responsible for driving a waste collection vehicle, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supervising crew members. This role offers training for those without experience. HGV Driver (HGV/LGV) - Tonbridge

Salary: £150 Per Day
Hours: 48 Hours - 4am - 2:15pm
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday
Contract Length: 3 Month
Location: Tonbridge Commercial, TN9 1PP

Role Overview

There is no need for previous experience, as training will be provided.
This could possibly become a permanent position for the right person

The post holder will be responsible for driving a waste collection vehicle and working alongside a crew to collect household waste,

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive to scheduled collection locations in line with planned routes.
  • Carry out and record daily vehicle checks in accordance with the Driver Operator Handbook.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and submitted daily.
  • Comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and weight restrictions.
  • Supervise and support crew members during collection activities.
  • Ensure roads and collection points are left clean and clear, including cleaning any spillages.
  • Handle missed bin reports and ensure completion of assigned work tasks.
  • Use the onboard system (Echo) correctly and consistently.
