Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect mail and parcels from Royal Mail centres.
• Operate from a well-organised depot in Shrewsbury.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.

Job description

Overview

With the Christmas season closing in we are looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers to work out of Royal Mail in Shrewsbury to help with their Christmas demand. This is an ongoing requirement with work all year round if desired.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting mail and parcels from Royal Mail mail centres, operating from a well-organised depot in Shrewsbury, using clean, well-maintained vehicles. There is some interaction involved for loading and unloading.

Pay Rates

• Monday to Sunday Days depending on start time £19.51 to £20.52
• Monday to Sunday Nights depending on finish time £20.26 to £22.54
• All rates are PAYE, and holiday pay is accrued separately

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months of recent Class 2 driving experience required
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
• DBS check completed as part of the registration (no cost to you)
