Job summary

Travis Perkins is recruiting for an HGV Class 2 driver in Andover. You will deliver building materials to customers, load with HIAB, and maintain safety and professionalism on the road.

The role offers sociable hours, no overnights, a full-time permanent contract, and a target-driven bonus potential. Expect ~14 drops daily, with HIAB training provided and progression opportunities within the branch network.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving license with valid CPC records.
• Category B license held for 12+ months.
• HIAB training available or funded by the company.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials from the branch to local customers.
• Load and secure loads with the HIAB and ensure they are packed and legal.
• Make around 14 drops per day and reload at the branch as needed.
• Maintain a safe, professional driving standard at all times.

Monday - Friday 7am -4.30pm and every other Saturday 8am -12pm

What will you be doing?

You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who you are

• Requirements: You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.
• HIAB experience: Don’t have HIAB experience? No problem! We’ll fund your HIAB training.
• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.
• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritize safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.
