Job summary

Gist Spalding is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing trunking work. Shifts average around 12 hours with a guaranteed 9.5 hours per shift, and start times from 02:01 to 18:00. Work available 7 days a week, with both ongoing and part-time options.

Rates are PAYE with holiday pay accrued separately. Pay scales include Mon-Fri 06:00-20:00 £15.30, 20:00-06:00 £17.07; Sat 06:00-20:00 £15.69, 20:00-06:00 £17.39; Sun/Bank Holidays 06:00-20:00 £18.69, 20:00-06:00 £20.39.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 18 months recent HGV driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).

Responsibilities

• Trunking work with average 12 hour shifts.
• Adhere to start times from 02:01 to 18:00 and work 7 days a week.
• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicle in line with safety regulations.

Job description

Ongoing Class 1 trunking work in Spalding, with shifts available 7 days a week and start times between 02:00 and 18:00.

We’re looking for HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing and part time work at Gist Spalding.

The work is trunking only, with average shifts of around 12 hours and a minimum guarantee of 9.5 hours per shift.

There are shifts available 7 days a week, with start times ranging from 02:01 through to 18:00, so we can consider drivers looking for regular ongoing work as well as those wanting part time shifts.

Sunday and Bank Holidays

• 06:00 to 20:00: £18.69 per hour
• 20:00 to 06:00: £20.39 per hour
