Job summary

Harrow Green is seeking a Relocation Operative Driver - HGV to safely transport colleagues, vehicles and customer belongings across a range of relocation projects. You will work with a skilled team and interact with customers, ensuring moves are delivered safely and efficiently.

The role requires a full UK HGV licence with CPC, good driving record and willingness to travel, including overnight stays. A physically demanding position with strong health and safety focus.

Role purpose

As a Relocation Operative Driver - HGV, you'll safely transport colleagues, vehicles and customer belongings while delivering a wide range of relocation services across household, commercial, international, government and specialist environments, including transfers to and from warehouse storage or recycling facilities. You'll combine professional driving with practical relocation expertise to ensure every move is delivered safely, efficiently and with exceptional customer care. From hospitals, laboratories, museums and libraries to schools, corporate offices and secure government facilities, you'll support large scale projects and work as part of a skilled operational team, interacting with customers, members of the public, and colleagues including operational and warehouse supervisors, team leaders, drivers, administrators and sales staff. This is a physically demanding role requiring resilience, teamwork and the strength and endurance to safely lift, carry and move heavy items, including working on stairs. You'll regularly need to adapt with flexibility to tight, often changing schedules, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends. Longer-distance moves may also involve overnight stays in accommodation or vehicles, both in the UK and overseas. Our people are what makes Harrow Green exceptional. Essential criteria

• Full UK Category C or C+E HGV driving licence with a good driving record.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.

• Experience within the removals, relocation or logistics industry.
• Experience in a customer-facing operational role.
• Experience driving HGV commercial vehicles.
• Experience driving commercial electric vehicles up to 4,250 kg.
• Experience driving a people carrier vehicle.
• Experience handling specialist or high-value items.
• Experience working within secure or regulated environments.
• Awareness of environmental sustainability and waste reduction practices.
• Experience using inventory systems, handheld technology or digital documentation.
• ADR qualification (where applicable).
• FORS awareness or certification
