Job summary

Driver Hire Stockport is recruiting HGV drivers (Class 1 and Class 2) to work for clients across the SK postcode area. Earn weekly PAYE pay with regular, varied shifts from Monday to Friday and flexible part-time options.

Applicants need a full UK driving licence, valid HGV Category C or C+E, a tachograph card, and no disqualifying endorsements. Some HGV experience is preferred. Road safety and proper paperwork are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Category C (Class 2) or Category C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No DD, DR, IN or TT endorsements.
• 6 months HGV driving experience preferred.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles safely and in compliance with road laws.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain logs.
• Maintain regular communication with the branch manager on progress.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.

Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for varied work in the SK postcode area? Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) and HGV Class 2 (Category C) drivers to work for our clients across the SK postcode.

With over 50 years experience of supplying drivers to customers across Stockport, we have built strong relationships with a wide range of loyal clients, allowing us to offer regular work week after week. We have opportunities available from Monday to Friday, as well as part-time work for drivers looking for more flexible hours.

Duties of our HGV Driver includes:

• Driving the HGV safely and responsibly while complying with all road traffic laws.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with all company procedures.
• Maintaining regular communication with the branch manager regarding your daily progress.
• Completing all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

To be considered, you’ll need:

• A full UK driving licence.
• A valid HGV Category C (Class 2) or Category C+E (Class 1) licence.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No DD, DR, IN or TT endorsements.
• 6 months’ relevant HGV driving experience (preferred).
• The ability to work to tight deadlines.

Pay Rates:
Paid weekly via PAYE

HGV Class 1 Driver:

• £17.93 per hour – Minimum 8 hours.
• £23.53 per hour – After 8 hours.

These rates include holiday pay. If you prefer to accrue holiday separately, then the rates become:

• £16.00 per hour – Minimum 8 hours.
• £21.00 per hour – After 8 hours.

HGV Class 2 Driver:

• £16.81 per hour – Minimum 8 hours.
• £22.06 per hour – After 8 hours.

These rates include holiday pay. If you prefer to accrue holiday separately, then the rates become:

• £15.00 per hour – Minimum 8 hours.
• £19.68 per hour – After 8 hours.
