Job summary

The Timber Group in High Wycombe is hiring an HGV Driver to join our nationwide building materials network. You will represent the company on deliveries and collections, carrying out multidrop runs to customers and branches with reliability and care.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Category C HGV licence, is a strong communicator and works well both independently and as part of a team. HIAB training is provided, with certification supported by the company.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Category C HGV licence.
• HIAB training/certification is desirable and training can be provided by the employer.
• Strong communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multidrop loads to customers and branches across the route.
• Represent the company professionally while on deliveries and handling customer interactions.

We rely on ourHGV Drivers to represent the company when out of the branch whilst providing an effective and reliable multidrop delivery and collection service to customers and other branches.

To fit the HGV Driver role, you will need to be:

• Able to work on your own initiative, but also willing to work as part of a wider team
• A good communicator who is presentable, approachable, positive and polite
• Motivated, energetic and passionate about your work
• In possession of a valid current Category C HGV licence
• HIAB certificateand experience is desirable, but this training can be provided
• Knowledge of the building industry and building supplies would be an advantage

We’ll support you to gain your HIAB certification if you don’t already have it. Training will be provided by us, and you’ll become fully qualified to operate HIAB equipment. A training agreement will apply, meaning if you leave the business within a set period after completing the training, you’ll be required to repay the cost
