Job summary

DPDgroup in the United Kingdom is seeking a diligent HGV driver to support our national transport department. You will move bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers, focusing on safe, timely deliveries and professional service.

You must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph. The role requires practical route knowledge, the ability to work under pressure, conduct vehicle checks, and maintain excellent relations with dispatchers and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles or similar.
• You should have strong geographical knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and remain compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide, being resourceful and reliable.
