Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our team in the UK. You will operate a modern fleet, conduct safe vehicle inspections, and manage nationwide collections and deliveries with an emphasis on efficiency and compliance.

Role requires a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card, with at least 6 months of Class 1 experience and strong knowledge of UK routes. Shift patterns include nights and weekends, with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Use GPS and tachographs to plan and monitor routes and stay compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers.

• The Pay: £16.35 ph + £2.72 ph night rate premium between 18:00 to06:00 + enhanced overtime rate

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission:Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics:Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance:Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.
• The Face of DPD:Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. Professional, resourceful, and reliable.
• Safety First:Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License:Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience:At least 6 monthsexperience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset:Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
