Job summary

Great Bear, part of Culina Group, is recruiting a full-time driver on a permanent basis with a flexible 5 from 7 shift pattern between 02:00 and 07:00. Salary is £15.36 per hour. The role involves delivering to customers’ premises and ensuring accurate paperwork while complying with transport and safety rules.

You will contribute to a safety-focused logistics team, perform daily vehicle checks, and uphold high standards of behaviour and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Recent Class 1 Driver driving role experience is essential.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and drivers’ hours.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and adapt to requirements.
• Professional and approachable conduct at all times.

Responsibilities

• Complete paperwork accurately and in line with procedures.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene rules at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of transport operations and tachograph rules.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and manage unit/trailer, including temp checks.
• Make deliveries to customers’ premises in a professional manner.

Job Description

The role is full time and permanent. We have a variety of shift patterns available working any 5 from 7 days (between 02:00 - 07:00 starts).

Salary: £15.36 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
• Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
• Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
• Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum of recent Class 1 Driver - 1 year is essential for this position.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
