Job summary

Air Products PLC in Cardiff is seeking a Sales Centre HGV Driver to join a small team delivering gas cylinders to customers, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30–15:30.

You will operate a rigid HGV, use a forklift for loading, handle customer orders with care, and uphold safety standards while supporting the commercial team with qualified leads.

Qualifications

• HGV licence C+E (class 1) required.
• ADR Licence (Packages min class 2) required.
• Driver CPC required.
• Forklift licence required.
• Literacy in PC and mobile devices.
• Excellent communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Pick, sort and load cylinders for customer deliveries.
• Operate a rigid HGV to deliver cylinders to customers.
• Operate forklift when loading vehicles for deliveries.
• Maintain delivery vehicle in line with O‑licence requirements.
• Deal with customers and pass leads to the commercial team.
• Keep high housekeeping standards and safety compliance.

You will deliver gas cylinders to customers in an efficient manner in accordance with all company's safety, quality and service standards and procedures.You will be an integral member of a small team of 5 drivers, ensuring our customers’ needs are met. Responsibilities include dealing with customer orders and enquiries, so you should be passionate about delivering customer service. There is also a requirement to operate a large goods vehicle (HGV Cat C and C+E) to deliver cylinders to customers; and to operate a forklift to sort and pick the customers' orders.Success in this position depends on strong Interpersonal skills, organizational skills, operational and technical capacity, commercial acumen and ability to work within a small team.Your working hours will be Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 15:30.
