Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Briton Ferry, Neath is seeking an experienced HGV Driver with a Category C licence to join our team. You will be responsible for safe and efficient delivery and dispensing of our concrete products to customer locations.

The role includes completing documentation accurately, performing daily vehicle checks, and complying with Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations. Training and progression opportunities are provided along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Category C Licence and CPC card.
• Demonstrate safe working practices at all times.
• Ability to drive legally and within Drivers Hours and Working Time rules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and dispense products to customer locations safely and efficiently.
• Complete documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle in good condition.

Job description

• As our ideal driver, you will have a Category C Licence and be able to demonstrate the following:
• A commitment to participating in and contributing to a safe working environment at all times
• A commitment to driving within the legal requirements of a driver.
• A willingness to learn and/or develop your current skill set
• Good communication skills and a desire to work as part of a team
• A flexible approach to work
• Excellent time keeping
• The ability to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
• MPQC Driver Skills Card would also be advantageous, but not essential as training will be given

What will you be responsible for? As a driver with a current CPC card and relevant experience, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and dispensing of our range of products to customer locations. Joining our team as a driver, you will ensure all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail. Complete daily vehicle checks with regards to safety and keep the truck in acceptable condition and comply with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements. Training in all aspects of the required role, as well as one CPC course paid for per year and plenty of opportunities to train and progress for roles within the larger business.
