Job summary

Selco Builders Warehouse in Birmingham is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to perform local deliveries with a 26-tonne HIAB-equipped truck. You will return to the branch daily and complete loads with safety checks.

The role offers a 45-hour week, Monday–Friday (06:30–16:30) with overtime and a monthly performance bonus of up to £150. HIAB training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• A current Category C / Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• A strong approach to safe and responsible driving.
• Good customer service skills.
• A positive attitude with a can do approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to local customer sites and homes.
• Driving a 26-tonne Class 2 HGV with HIAB.
• Safely unloading building materials using the HIAB.
• Completing daily vehicle and safety checks; ensuring load is safe and secure.
• Providing great customer service at every delivery.
• Working closely with the branch team to keep deliveries running smoothly.
• Following all driving, safety and legal requirements.

Join Selco as a Class 2 HGV Driver and become part of a branch team delivering building materials directly to our customers across the local area.

You’ll be driving a 26-tonne HGV fitted with a HIAB, making multi-drop deliveries to local customer sites and homes.

Already have HIAB experience? Great. If not, don’t let that stop you applying — HIAB training will be provided for the right candidate.

What you can expect from the role

• Salary £37,720.80 pro rata (£16.12 p/h) plus earn up to £150 a month personal performance bonus
• Basic working week of 45 hours
• Monday to Friday, 06:30-16:30
• 1-hour lunch break each day
• Alternate Saturday shift rota - paid at time-and-a-half
• Overtime available to suit business needs
• All overtime is paid at time-and-a-half
• Local deliveries with no nights away

You’ll be based from your Selco branch, returning to the branch at the end of your working day.

What We’re Looking For

• A current Category C / Class 2 driving licence

We’ll also support you in keeping your professional qualifications up to date, with a paid Driver CPC course provided each year.
