Job summary

Panda Recycling UK is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Bromborough team, operating from our Widnes depot. You will safely collect and transport commercial/industrial waste using our modern fleet, with early-morning shifts, paid breaks, and the potential for weekend overtime.

The role offers a stable 40-hour week, with training provided and opportunities for career progression within a supportive team focused on sustainable waste management.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card is required.
• Experience in waste sector operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
• Customer-focused communication skills are essential.
• Physically fit for manual handling tasks.

Panda is a leading waste management solutions provider based in Widnes. We specialise in sustainable resource recovery and circular economy practices. We’re currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Bromborough team and play a vital role in our environmental services operations.

The Role

Operating from our Widnes depot, you’ll safely and efficiently collect and transport commercial/industrial waste using our modern HGV fleet. Enjoy consistent Monday–Friday shifts starting at 3-4 am, with a paid break and the option to earn extra via weekend overtime. This role offers a stable 40-hour workweek.

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins correctly positioned.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers’ hours, and health/safety standards.

Essential Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 licence + current Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Experience in waste sector operations (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
• Customer-focused communication skills.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

• Pay rate: £14.47/hour + overtime after 40 hours at £18.09/hour.
