Panda is seeking professional HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our Sheffield team on AM or PM shifts, operating a mix of Trade Waste and FEL vehicles. You will work with a range of commercial customers, delivering a reliable service while upholding safety standards.

Formación

• A valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification is mandatory.
• Digital Tachograph Card is required.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate Trade Waste and FEL vehicles across Sheffield and surrounding areas on your shift.
• Complete scheduled commercial waste collections efficiently and professionally.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
• Use onboard tech and handheld devices to manage workloads.
• Ensure collections comply with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing Panda professionally.

About the Role

Location: Sheffield

Position: Permanent, Full-Time (Guaranteed Hours)

Shift Options: AM Shift (04:00 Start) | PM Shift (15:00 Start)

Pay Rates & Shift Options

• AM Shift (04:00 Start):

  • Basic Rate: £14.83 per hour (40 hours)

  • Overtime Rate: £18.54 per hour (after 40 hours worked)

  • Bonus: Performance bonus of 8p per bin lifted

• PM Shift (15:00 Start):

  • Basic Rate: £17.98 per hour (40 hours)

  • Overtime Rate: £22.48 per hour (after 40 hours worked)

  • Bonus: N/A (Higher basic hourly rate)

Keep Sheffield Moving with Panda

Panda provides essential waste and recycling services to businesses and communities across the UK. We are currently looking for professional HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our Sheffield team across both AM and PM shifts, operating a mix of Trade Waste and Front End Loader (FEL) vehicles.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will be working with a wide range of commercial customers, providing a reliable service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operate Trade Waste and FEL vehicles across Sheffield and the surrounding areas on your designated shift.

• Complete scheduled commercial waste collections efficiently and professionally.

• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.

• Use onboard technology and handheld devices to manage daily workloads.

• Ensure all collections are completed in accordance with company procedures and legal compliance.

• Deliver excellent customer service while representing Panda professionally at customer sites.

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.

What We're Looking For

• A valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

• Driver CPC qualification

• Digital Tachograph Card

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience operating Trade Waste, FEL, RCV, or similar waste collection vehicles is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.

• A strong understanding of driver compliance, vehicle checks, and safe working practices.

• A reliable and professional approach with a positive, can-do attitude.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Punctuality and commitment to your chosen shift pattern (AM start at 04:00 or PM start at 15:00).
