The Best Connection is recruiting for a Refuse Collector - HGV Class 2 to join our waste management team in Swadlincote. This full-time role offers Monday to Friday shifts, with reliable overtime opportunities and weekly pay.

You will operate a Class 2 refuse vehicle on designated routes, ensuring safety and compliance while delivering essential service to residents and businesses. The ideal candidate holds a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and tachograph card, with good teamwork and

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

Safely operate an Refuse Collector - HGV Class 2.
Complete scheduled waste and recycling collection routes.
Work with loaders and refuse operatives throughout the shift.
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
Follow route plans and collection schedules efficiently.
Maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and the public.
Complete required paperwork and route documentation.
Liaise with transport supervisors and operations teams.
Ensure compliance with Driver CPC, tachograph regulations and Working Time Directive.
