Job description

Overview

Thrive Group are proud to be recruiting HGV drivers to work for the local council in Preston, with immediate starts available.

Responsibilities

• Join the waste team on site driving the bin wagons, working daily with two bin loaders.
• Drive or load the vehicle to collect public waste; on the odd occasion you may be required to work as a loader, however you will always be paid the drivers rate.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Held driving licence for over 1 year.
• Over the age of 21 due to insurance purposes.
• No DR10 or IN10 or more than 6 points on your licence.
• Experience with waste is preferred but not essential, as long as you have HGV experience.
• All work is PAYE.

Shifts and Location

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 06:30 start, job and finish.

• 06:30 start
• Working Monday to Friday
• There is also potential for overtime on Weekends and Bank Holidays

Pay and Benefits

• £14.61 per hour (£16.38 ph including holiday pay).
• Overtime after 8 hours and on Saturdays £21.92 (£24.56 including holiday pay).
• Weekly pay.
