Job summary

Driver Hire Colchester and Sudbury is seeking experienced and professional HGV Class 2 HIAB Drivers to support our clients across Colchester and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified HIAB / Grab lorry drivers looking for flexible work, ongoing assignments, or potential permanent positions.

Standard pay £20.00 p/h Mon- Friday – 8hrs or 10hrs pay per day, overtime £24.00 p/h. Full time and part time shifts available, with weekly pay and 24/7 local support.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card required.
• HIAB / Lorry Loader certificate (ALLMI or equivalent) required.
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DR, DD or IN.

Responsibilities

• Delivering building materials to commercial and residential sites.
• Operating HIAB crane safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring loads are secure before transit.
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks.
• Complying with health & safety regulations.

• Variety of clients looking for cover often Builders merchants
• Delivering building materials and goods to commercial and residential sites
• Operating HIAB crane safely and efficiently
• Ensuring loads are secure before transit
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Working in line with health & safety regulations
• Full time and part time shifts available

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Valid HIAB / Lorry Loader certificate (ALLMI or equivalent)
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN endorsements)
• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
