Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a professional HGV Class 2 driver with HIAB experience to deliver building materials from our Birmingham branch to local customers. You will load with HIAB, secure loads, and complete around 14 drops daily while maintaining a professional on-road presence.

No evenings or overnights; Monday to Friday 6:30 AM–4:00 PM with every other Saturday. Full-time, permanent employment with opportunities for CPC training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 2 (HGV) driving licence and CPC records.
• HIAB experience is required.
• Customer-focused and safety-minded.
• Experience in merchanting/building materials welcomed.
• Able to manage around 14 drops per day and load securely.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials from branch to local customers.

What will you be doing?

You'll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything's safe and sound. You'll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it's all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you'll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who You Are

• Requirements: You'll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.
• HIAB experience: HIAB experienced is required for this position
• Customer-focused: You'll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.
• Working Experience: Preferably you would have worked in a Merchanting previously.
• Safety-focused: You'll prioritise safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.
