Drivers Today in Wolverhampton is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) flatbed tramper for work around the UK, starting Monday 26th October. You will drive flatbed vehicles, secure loads and complete deliveries with ratchet straps.

This role offers £20 per hour plus £26 per night out, Monday to Friday tramping, sleeper-cab vehicles (usually Volvo) and weekly pay. Previous flatbed experience and compliance with drivers hours rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous flatbed driving and load-securing experience is essential for this position.
• You’ll need a valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of drivers' hours regulations are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 flatbed vehicles for general haulage across the UK.
• Secure loads correctly using ratchet straps and check loads before travel.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and complete delivery paperwork.
• Stay in sleeper cabs during the working week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 2 driver looking for regular tramping work, good hourly pay and comfortable sleeper-cab vehicles.

What Will You Be Doing?

You’ll be carrying out HGV Class 2 flatbed general haulage deliveries and collections across the UK.

Your duties will include:

• Driving HGV Class 2 flatbed vehicles

• Delivering and collecting a variety of loads

• Securing loads correctly using ratchet straps

• Checking loads are safe and secure before travelling

• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks

• Completing delivery paperwork

• Staying overnight in a sleeper cab during the working week

• Following drivers' hours and tachograph regulations

What We’re Looking For

Previous flatbed driving and load-securing experience is essential for this position.

You’ll need:

• Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence

• Valid Driver CPC

• Digital Tachograph Card

• Previous HGV flatbed driving experience

• Proven experience using ratchet straps and securing loads

• Experience of general haulage deliveries

• Willingness to tramp Monday to Friday

• Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations

• A reliable, professional attitude

Please note: This is not a training position for drivers without flatbed or strapping experience.

Excellent Earning Potential

With an hourly rate of £20plus £26 per night out, this position offers attractive earning potential for an experienced Class 2 tramper.

For example, based on 50 paid hours and four nights out:

£1,104 gross per week

Actual earnings will depend on hours worked and the number of nights out completed.
