Job summary

DriverForce UK Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a client in Braintree on an ongoing temporary basis. You will safely collect household waste and recycling on local routes, drive a refuse vehicle, and support a team of loaders throughout the shift.

The role offers competitive pay (£21.45 per hour), Monday to Friday work, and a reliable, ongoing schedule with consistent hours. A valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence and Driver CPC are required, with at least 2

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence.
• Minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Rear steer and dustcart/refuse vehicle experience is essential.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Be physically fit and happy to assist with loading duties when required.
• Demonstrate excellent awareness of road safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Drive a refuse collection vehicle on planned local routes.
• Lead and work alongside a team of loaders throughout the shift.
• Collect household, recycling, and garden waste from residential properties.
• Empty waste at authorised disposal facilities.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete required paperwork.
• Assist the loading team when operationally required.

About the Role

As a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will play an important role in keeping local communities clean by safely collecting household waste and recycling across the Braintree area.
