Job summary

FM Conway in Paddington, Greater London, seeks a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join the Water and Drainage Management team on a full‑time basis. You’ll operate as part of a two‑person crew, performing drainage cleaning, high‑pressure jetting, and routine maintenance to keep networks flowing and prevent flooding.

You will record work using the app‑based reporting system, respond to blockages and emergencies, and support planned and reactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must hold an HGV Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC.
• Teamwork and commitment to health and safety are essential.
• Previous drainage industry experience is preferred but not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of drainage services including high‑pressure water jetting to inspect, clean and maintain drainage networks.
• Respond promptly to drainage issues and emergency callouts to keep water flowing safely.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance by clearing, cleaning, and repairing drainage systems.
• Accurately record and report all work, flagging any additional issues for follow‑up.
• Use the app‑based reporting system to update progress and share photos/videos with the team.

Job description

FM Conway is seeking a skilledHGV Class 2 Driverto join our dedicated Water and Drainage Management team. In this vital role, you’ll help protecting protect communities and keeping essential infrastructure running smoothly. Working as part of a two-person crew, you’ll be at the front line ofdrainage operations,fromdrain cleaning and clearancetorepair and maintenance work.Using specialised vehicles and equipment, you'll help ensure that water flows freely through drainage systems, helping to prevent flooding, minimise disruption, and support a healthier environment. This is a full time, permanent role based in Paddington, Greater London.

The duties of the HGV Class 2 Driverrole will include:

Carrying out a wide range ofdrainage services, includinghigh-pressure water jetting(HPWJ)to inspect, clean, and maintain drainage networks.

Responding promptly todrainage issues and emergency callouts, tackling blockages, overflows, and other urgent problems to keep water flowing safely and efficiently.

Supporting planned and reactive maintenance byclearing, cleaning, and repairing drainage systemsas part of routine operations or urgent interventions.

Accuratelyrecording and reporting all work carried out, including identifying and flagging any additional issues that require follow-up.

Using ourapp-basedreporting systemto update job progress, upload photos/videos, and ensure clear communication with the wider team.

What skills and experience do you need?

We’re looking for reliable, committed individuals who hold aClass 2 licenceand avalid Driver CPC.You’ll enjoy working as part of a team and demonstrate a strong commitment tohealth and safety.Whileprevious experience in the drainage industryis preferred, it’s not essential -full training can be providedfor the right candidate.
