Job summary

FM Conway is hiring a HGV Class 2 Driver to operate liquid waste tankers and support wastewater operations across treatment plants, pumping stations and networks. You will perform high‑pressure water jetting, tankering and drainage cleaning, with a focus on safety and reliable service.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 2 licence with CPC, and have a strong health and safety mindset. Training and career development are provided within FM Conway’s Water and Drainage Management division.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 2 (Category C) driving licence and a valid Driver CPC.
• Strong commitment to health and safety in all tasks.
• Experience in wastewater, drainage, water, utilities or environmental services is preferred.
• Confined Space Entry and HPWJ qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 liquid waste tankers safely and transport waste per procedures.
• Support planned and reactive wastewater operations across plants and networks.
• Carry out HPWJ, tankering and drainage cleaning as required.
• Respond to flooding risks and incidents with safe practices.
• Work within confined spaces following safety procedures.
• Accurately record completed work using the app-based reporting system and communicate with the team.

• Operate Class 2 liquid waste tankers, safely transporting and handling liquid waste in line with company procedures and environmental legislation.
• Support planned and reactive wastewater operations across treatment plants, pumping stations and wastewater networks.
• Carry out a range of specialist services, including high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ), tankering and drainage cleaning and maintenance.
• Respond to flooding risks and operational incidents, including the safe removal of contaminated water from infrastructure sites.
• Work within confined spaces when required, following all relevant safety procedures and industry regulations.
• Accurately record completed work using our app-based reporting system, ensuring clear communication with the wider operational team

You'll ideally have: We're looking for someone who enjoys varied, hands-on work, takes pride in delivering a great service and, thrives as part of a close-knit team, You'll hold a Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence and a valid Driver CPC, with a strong commitment to health and safety and a positive, reliable attitude. Confined Space Entry and High-Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) qualifications would be advantageous, alongside previous experience within the wastewater, drainage, water, utilities or environmental services sectors.
