Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting multiple HGV Class 2 (Category C) drivers to join a well-established waste and recycling operation across the Greater Belfast area, including Carryduff. This is a secure, long-term role offering steady hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 16:30pm, at £15.50 per hour.

You will carry out scheduled and ad-hoc waste collections, perform vehicle checks, ensure safe loading and compliance with transport and environmental regulations, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles to complete daily collection routes
• Carrying out pre-use and post-use vehicle checks
• Ensuring safe loading, transportation and tipping of waste materials
• Completing route sheets, delivery notes and digital records accurately
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintaining vehicle cleanliness
• Carrying out collections from commercial and industrial sites
• Supporting manual and mechanical loading/unloading activities
• Using equipment such as tail lifts, pallet trucks and handling aids
• Sorting and segregating waste in line with regulations
• Adhering to driver hours, tachograph and health & safety requirements
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
