Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for a client role based at Williton depot and transfer station in Somerset. The role offers standard hours with optional overtime, a weekly pay estimate of around £800 and an expected annual earnings of about £41,600.

You will join a small driver team, performing multi-drop collections, load security, and customer-facing service. Attractive benefits include a pension scheme and on-site training with ongoing CPC refreshers.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards essential.
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements.
• Knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours rules.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to safe working practices to ensure safety of self and others.
• Secure loads to prevent damage during transit.
• Refuse and Waste Collections within residential areas.
• Work in a team of 3 (1 driver, 2 loaders) for residential waste collection and tipping.
• Carry out multi-drop collections as an HGV Class 2 driver.
• Identify vehicle defects and inform Transport Office as needed.
• Maintain excellent customer-facing standards and communication.
• Be punctual and able to work unsupervised.
• Deliver first-class customer service with a proactive attitude.
