Job summary

A well-known recruitment agency is seeking multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers to deliver alcohol to local bars and restaurants in Wetherby. The role includes ensuring proper packaging of orders and communication regarding any issues. Candidates must have a Class 2 driving license and be safety-conscious. This ongoing position offers £15.90 per hour with the opportunity for permanent placement for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver alcohol to bars/restaurants within the local area.
• Ensure customer orders are packaged correctly for delivery.
• Inform customers of any order delays or problems.
• Assist with unloading customer orders.
• Collect empty kegs/pallets and store them properly.
• Complete all paperwork and liaise with Transport Management.

Hours

Monday to Friday, typically 7am starts

Pay Rate

£15.90 per hour PAYE

Job Type

The role

• Multi-drop delivering alcohol to bars / restaurants within the local area.
• ensure customer orders are secured and packaged correctly for delivery prior to departure.
• Inform the customer of any order delays, stock shortages or problems.
• Assist with the unloading of customer orders from the vehicle to the customer premises.
• Collect empty kegs / pallets and returns - when back at Depot ensure they are handled and stored correctly within the Warehouse or yard.
• Complete all paperwork / EPOD tasks and any administration tasks Liaise with Transport Management re. vehicle issues / delays.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
