Responsibilities

  • Operate lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional during interactions with clients.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with tail lift vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 30 kg) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading goods.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
