Job summary

Our client, Driver Hire Oxford, in Abingdon, seeks a professional HGV Class 2 Dray Driver to join their distribution team. You will perform multi-drop deliveries to licensed premises along pre-planned routes, with a focus on reliability and customer service.

Training includes two weeks of paid on-the-job health and safety instruction. The role runs Monday to Friday, 05:00-14:00, with full-time permanent potential and a salary of £39,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Digi card and CPC card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DDs or DRs).
• Previous dray or multi-drop delivery experience preferred but not essential.
• Physically fit and confident with manual handling duties.

Job Description

Our client in Abingdon is looking for a professional HGV Class 2 Dray Driver to join their established distribution team. This role offers the opportunity to represent a respected business within the hospitality sector, delivering a first-class service with commitment and reliability.

As part of an expanding team, you will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries of kegs and cases to licensed premises along pre-planned routes. The role requires a good level of physical fitness and excellent communication skills to maintain strong relationships with customers.

Driver Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Digi card and CPC card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DDs or DRs)
• Previous dray or multi-drop delivery experience preferred but not essential
• Physically fit and confident with manual handling duties

Training and Support

Full health and safety training will be provided, along with two weeks of paid on-the-job training.
