Pentagon Motor Group is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Class 2 Transporter Driver for their West Hallam fleet. You will load, transport, and handover vehicles, ensuring loads are secure and paperwork is accurate.

The role requires strict safety compliance, excellent driving standards, and customer service during deliveries. Ideal candidates hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence with CPC qualification and have at least 1 year of car transportation experience, with a reliable, proactive approach

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting multiple vehicles between designated locations.
• Loading, securing, and unloading vehicles to prevent damage.
• Carrying out pre/post transporter and vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Completing relevant paperwork and maintaining records.
• Adhering to Highway Traffic regulations and safety policies at all times.
• Communicating with managers and colleagues to coordinate routes and deliveries.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with Pentagon Motor Group for a positive and enthusiastic individual to join their West Hallam Fleet department , in the position of Class 2 Transporter Driver.

Role Overview

The Fleet Class 2 Transporter Driver plays a vital role in the delivery of customer vehicles. This role involves safely and efficiently transporting various vehicles between locations, ensuring proper loading, securing, and unloading of vehicles, while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, whilst providing great customer service. The role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage schedules accurately, often involving long-distance travel and coordination with customers and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Main Purpose of the Role

• Safely transporting multiple vehicles between designated locations
• Loading, securing, and unloading vehicles to prevent damage during transit
• Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Completing daily checks of the transporter, including pre and post inspections, and reporting any defects to the manager promptly
• Conducting pre and post inspections of the transporter and vehicles
• Coordinating with the vehicle delivery team to plan routes and schedules
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition

Who Are We Looking for?

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence and in date CPC Qualification
• Have a minimum of 1 years recent experience in car transportation.
• Be a reliable team player who is able to work with no supervision
• Be a confident communicator.
• Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and be well organised.
• Have an ability to demonstrate a ‘right first time’ attitude.
• Ensuring timely delivery and communication with customers regarding delivery status
• Provide excellent customer service during pre-delivery calls and handover
• Performing routine vehicle checks and reporting any vehicle issues
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company protocols during transportation

What Will You Be Doing?

• Loading and unloading the Transporter, ensuring the load is always secure and safe.
• Completing relevant paperwork and maintaining records as required.
• Conducting thorough pre/post trip checks.
• Adhering to Highway Traffic regulations at all times.
• Being mindful of and adhering to Health and Safety policies and practices at all times.
• Communicating with managers/colleagues

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 17:30pm.
