Job summary

Manpower Wales is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a family-run distribution business in Wrexham. The role offers £16.50-£20.00 per hour on a temporary contract with day and night shifts, trunking between centres and customer sites, and regular weekly pay.

You will safely transport goods, perform vehicle checks, complete paperwork, and secure loads using straps and load restraints. CPC and Digital Tachograph card holders with at least 6 months’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
• Experience with palletised deliveries
• Good geographic knowledge and route planning skills
• Experience securing and strapping down loads and CPC/Digital Tachograph card

Responsibilities

• Trunking and palletised deliveries between distribution centres and customer sites
• Safe and efficient transportation of goods
• Vehicle checks and completion of relevant paperwork
• Securing loads correctly using straps and load restraint methods
• Adhering to driving regulations and company procedures
