Job Overview

We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers at our Hoddesdon Depot within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. This full‑time, permanent role involves delivering milk products to customer stores and regional distribution centres across the M25 and Greater London area. The job is scheduled for day shifts with no overnight stays, and it offers an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver milk products to customer stores and regional distribution centres.
• Navigate urban driving, including hazard awareness and dynamic risk assessments.
• Perform thorough vehicle and driver checks, and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Plan routes to avoid safety restrictions, planned roadworks and heavy traffic.
• Act as the interface between the business and the customer base, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
• Load and unload trolleys on the vehicle, ensuring efficient operation of the physical aspects of the role.

Key Skills & Experience

• HGV Class 1 Licence (CE) with a valid digital driving card.
• Current CPC qualification.
• Minimum 12 months of driving experience on Class 1 HGVs.
• No more than 6 minor points on the driving licence.
• Comfortable with the physical nature of the role, including manual handling of trolleys.
• Excellent attitude, self‑motivation, and strong reliability.
• Team player who can work independently and take initiative.

Pay and Hours

Rate of Pay: Monday‑Friday: £16.63 per hour, Saturday: £18.71 per hour, Sunday: £24.95 per hour. Night shifts (6:00 pm–4:00 am) pay £19.00–£27.32 per hour. Overtime is paid at £18.71 per hour.
