365 People are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing trunking work based in Crick. This is a regular PAYE role with guaranteed 5 days per week, 12 months of the year.

The duties include trunking deliveries into Costco stores with drop-and-swap or live-loading, no handball, and start times often between 21:00 and 02:00. Assessments are paid and the shift pattern is Friday to Tuesday.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence and CPC required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 experience.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card and 6 penalty points max.

365 People are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing trunking work based in Crick.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular, consistent PAYE work, with a guaranteed 5 days per week, 12 months of the year.

The role involves trunking deliveries into Costco stores, with no handball required. Drivers will complete either drop-and-swap or live-loading work, depending on the operation.

The biggest requirement is currently for drivers available to start between 00:00 and 02:00, although start times are available between 21:00 and 02:00.

Pay rates

Monday to Friday:
£18.00 – £20.17 per hour

Saturday:
£20.00 – £22.41 per hour

Sunday:
£22.00 – £24.66 per hour

Guaranteed work

• Guaranteed 5 days per week
• Ongoing work throughout the year
• Friday to Tuesday shift pattern
• Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
• Average shift length of approximately 11 hours
• 45-minute break deducted from the shift

Duties

• HGV Class 1 trunking
• Deliveries into Costco stores
• Drop and swap operations
• Live loading
• No handball
• Completing vehicle and trailer checks
• Completing delivery paperwork and site documentation
• Following drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Working safely and professionally at all times
• Occasional night-out runs may be required with advance notice

There is very limited requirement for weekend night outs.

• Greatest demand currently between 00:00 and 02:00
• Highest demand for drivers available Friday to Sunday
• Regular 5-day working pattern

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum 6 penalty points
• No major driving endorsements
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• PAYE drivers only – LTD drivers cannot be accepted
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Comfortable working night shifts
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and WTD regulations

Driver assessment

All drivers must successfully complete an assessment before starting work.

Assessments take place Monday to Saturday between 04:00 and 12:00 and last approximately 3 hours.

• Multiple-choice questionnaire
• Drivers' hours and legislation
• Working Time Directive knowledge
• Site induction
• Completion of relevant paperwork

Successful candidates will be paid for 4 hours for attending the assessment.
