Job summary

Resolve Recruitment Services is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver based in Wigan. This temp-to-perm role offers long-term stability, competitive earnings, and a clear path to permanent employment within a professional transport operation.

Shifts include days and nights with an annual OTE of £46,800–£50,400 plus £3,600 Night Out Allowance. Applicants must have a valid Class 1 licence, CPC and Tachograph card, and at least 2 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK driving regulations and road safety requirements.
• Maximum of 3 penalty points on licence.
• Ability to work days, nights, and tramping shifts where required.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Curtainside Trailers and Containers safely and efficiently
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers
• Complete pre-use and post-use vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records
• Adhere to all road transport legislation and company safety procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Communicate effectively with transport planners and operational teams
• Assist with loading and unloading when required
• Follow all company policies and procedures
