Job summary

GXO Swindon is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our transport team. Full-time, permanent, 48 hours per week with two shift patterns: 22:00–04:00 and 12:30–16:00. Competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Responsibilities include multi-drop and trunking deliveries, palletised goods handling, and maintaining excellent customer service. UK driving licence with C+E, DQC, tachograph cards and clean licence are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a mix of multidrop and trunking deliveries, typically 1–4 drops per shift.
• Handle palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe loading and unloading.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office and customers.
• Operate vehicles safely, legally and ensure documents are completed on time.
