Job summary

Millison Chase Limited is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing fresh produce collection and distribution work across the UK. Expect regular shifts with a modern refrigerated fleet, loading bays and pallet trucks, plus weekly PAYE pay and in-house employment.

Shifts are 10–12 hours with a mix of local and nationwide routes. A Driver Sign-On Bonus of £100 applies after completing the first full month.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and Driver CPC card.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience preferred.
• Experience in refrigerated or fresh produce distribution desirable.
• Good knowledge of Driver's Hours and transport legislation.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Collect fresh produce from farms and growers.
• Deliver to RDCs, CDCs, packing facilities and hubs.
• Complete 1–5 deliveries or collections per shift.
• Operate refrigerated Class 1 vehicles with box trailers.
• Use loading bays, tail lifts and pallet trucks.
• Carry out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork.
• Ensure temperature-controlled products remain compliant.

Description

Millison Chase Limited is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing Fresh Produce Collection and Distribution work with one of our leading food logistics clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional Class 1 Drivers looking for regular, ongoing work transporting fresh produce from farms and food producers to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs), Customer Distribution Centres (CDCs), packing facilities, and distribution hubs across the UK.

The role involves operating modern temperature-controlled refrigerated articulated vehicles with box trailers, ensuring fresh produce is transported safely while maintaining the cold chain throughout every journey. Drivers can expect a mixture of farm collections, distribution centre deliveries, and occasional return collections depending on the daily route.

Routes generally consist of 1 to 5 deliveries or collections per shift, with a combination of loading bays and tail lift deliveries. Most loads are handled using pallet trucks and forklift trucks, although there is an occasional element of light handball when delivering produce to customer locations.

Shift lengths are typically 10 to 12 hours, with both local and nationwide routes available. All work is fully planned in accordance with Driver's Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive, and all current UK transport legislation.

Pay & Progression;

Monday to Friday (Days): £16.00 per hour

Monday to Friday (Nights): £17.00 per hour

Saturday: £19.00 per hour

Sunday & Bank Holidays: £20.00 per hour

Responsibilities;

Collecting fresh produce directly from farms and growers

Delivering produce to RDCs, CDCs, packing facilities and distribution hubs

Completing between 1 and 5 deliveries or collections per shift

Operating refrigerated articulated Class 1 vehicles with box trailers

Using loading bays, tail lifts and pallet trucks where required

Carrying out light manual handling when necessary

Completing daily vehicle and trailer safety checks

Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork

Ensuring temperature-controlled products remain compliant throughout transport

Following Driver's Hours and Tachograph Regulations

Delivering excellent customer service at every collection and delivery point
