Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Industrial is hiring an HGV Class 1 Driver for Avonmouth. The role offers day rate £19.23, night rate £21.54, and weekend/base rate £24.04, with overtime at £24.04 after 45 hours. Typical week is 40–45 hours with weekly or monthly pay possibilities.

Shifts include Monday to Friday, weekends, and other patterns. Opportunity for permanent contract after 12 successful weeks via agency, delivering palletized goods and providing a professional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
• Current CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR/IN endorsements.
• Good customer service skills and reliable approach.

Responsibilities

• Trunking work with 2-3 drops per run.
• Deliver palletized merchandise and stock directly.
• Loads are mainly forklifted off.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Complete deliveries safely and efficiently.
