Job summary

Culina Group Limited in the UK is seeking professional HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Chilled & Fresh team in Teynham, delivering to key retail customers across the UK. This permanent, full-time role focuses on safe driving, excellent customer service and reliable delivery standards.

You'll work a variety of shift patterns with competitive rates between £15.84 and £25.41 per hour, plus overtime and subsistence allowances.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• We have a variety of roles available including Night Outs, Trunking, and local store deliveries.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres, Farms and Packhouses
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
