Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking safety‑mocussed HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to support nationwide operations from Exeter. This temporary/ongoing role offers trunking runs, no handballing, and a mix of morning, evening and weekend shifts with guaranteed minimum daily hours.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 1 licence, CPC and Tachograph Card, with 180+ days recent Class 1 driving and up to 6 penalty points. A DBS check and vetting will be required, with strong safety compliance throughout.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence held for 1+ years.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• 180+ days of Class 1 driving in the last 12 months.
• Maximum 6 penalty points.
• Able to pass driver vetting and DBS check.

Responsibilities

The Role

You’ll carry out trunking runs between Royal Mail depots, transporting mail and parcels across the network. No handballing — just clean, organised, professional driving on planned routes. A variety of morning, evening and weekend shifts are available.
