Job description

To support customer demand, we are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Peterborough depot.

Shift Available

4 on 4 off working on Nights (start times between 15:00‑20:00)

Rate of Pay

£15.90 per hour, plus a weekly shift allowance of £95.00.

Paid weekly.

Any hours worked over 39 hours each week will be paid at time and a half.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported
• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle
• Carry out trunking and multi‑drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations)
• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience. Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot

What are we looking for?

• Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in‑date DigiTacho and CPC
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Someone who can lift up to 18kg
• You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
