Job summary

Lineage is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for our Hams Hall depot. The role features a 4 on 4 off days pattern with starts around 05:00, and pay at £16.54 per hour plus a weekly £40 shift allowance.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, safe loading, trunking and multi‑drop deliveries, and obtaining customer signatures while maintaining compliance with driving time regulations.

Qualifications

• C+E driving licence.
• Valid DigiTacho and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 18kg.
• Clear English communication with team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects to keep the fleet legal.
• Verify correct goods loaded and secured before moving the vehicle.
• Perform trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely, compliant manner.
• Confirm deliveries with customers, collect signatures and paperwork.

Job description

To support customer demand, we are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Hams Hall depot.

Shift Available: HGV Class 1 Driver: 4 on 4 off days (Start times around 05:00)

Rate of pay: £16.54 per hour, plus a weekly shift allowance of £40.00.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported

• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle

• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations)

• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience. Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot

What are we looking for?

• Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC

• Previous Class 1 driving experience

• Someone who can lift up to 18kg

• You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
