Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy transport operation in Immingham on a temporary, night-shift basis. You will drive a Class 1 vehicle, complete deliveries and collections, and ensure loads are secure while performing daily vehicle checks.

Applicants should have a valid HGV 1 licence, CPC, a valid digital tachograph card, and prior Class 1 driving experience. Strong knowledge of drivers hours and road transport regulations, safety awareness, and professional

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence.
• Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport regulations.
• Strong safety awareness and reliability.
• Good communication and professional customer service.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.

Responsibilities

The role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving a Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly
• Completing deliveries and collections in line with agreed schedules
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring loads are secure and handled appropriately
• Completing delivery paperwork and using relevant transport systems
• Maintaining compliance with road safety, drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
• Providing professional service at collection and delivery points
