Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Poole is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver for a permanent role with consistent Monday-Friday work, moving vehicles across the UK.

You will transport vehicles to dealerships and customer locations, perform pre-load checks, and ensure paperwork and compliance are completed accurately.

The role offers stability within a leading vehicle logistics operation, with a focus on safety, reliability, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Proven experience operating car transporters is essential.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Good understanding of loading and securing procedures.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Reliable with excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 car transporters nationwide.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform vehicle inspections before loading and delivery.
• Ensure vehicles are transported without damage.
• Complete transport and delivery documentation.
• Deliver vehicles to dealerships, compounds, auctions and other locations.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism.
• Adhere to drivers' hours, tachograph and health & safety regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transporter driver looking for a permanent role with consistent Monday-Friday work, transporting vehicles across the UK.

The Role:

As an HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving HGV Class 1 car transporters nationwide
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out vehicle inspections before loading and delivery
• Ensuring vehicles are transported without damage
• Completing all relevant transport and delivery documentation
• Delivering vehicles to dealerships, compounds, auctions, and other customer locations
• Maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism at all times
• Adhering to all drivers' hours, tachograph, and health & safety regulations

The Person:

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Proven experience operating car transporters is essential
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points for minor offences
• Good understanding of vehicle loading and securing procedures
• Professional and customer-focused approach
• Reliable with excellent time management skills
