Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable ADR Truck Driver to join our logistics team for our Class 2 Wagon. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and experience in commercial transportation, particularly in flatbed operations. The position requires a dedicated driver committed to maintaining high safety standards and delivering exceptional service.

Duties
  • Operate an 18 tonne HGV truck to transport goods between locations
  • Use a forklift to load and unload goods
  • Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring securement of goods during transit
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including handling any queries professionally
Requirements
  • Valid driving licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record
  • ADR and CPC qualifications
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo transportation
  • Ability to operate lorries confidently and safely
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with dispatchers and clients
  • Physical fitness to load/unload cargo and perform vehicle inspections as required
  • Prior experience in commercial driving is highly desirable
