Job summary

First Choice Staff is seeking a flexible Class 2 Driver / Logistics Operative for a well-established London-based logistics company near Heathrow. You will perform deliveries and collections across London, handle manual tasks, and support the team with operational duties.

The role includes vehicle checks, tail lift/pump truck use, and a strong emphasis on customer service, with overtime opportunities and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Experience driving around London
• Comfortable with manual handling
• Able to use a pump truck and operate a tail lift vehicle
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and follow instructions as part of a team
• Removals experience is advantageous but not essential

Our client, based close to Heathrow, is one of Londons leading logistics support and distribution companies, providing same-day courier services, IT and office relocations, and temporary logistics warehousing.

We are looking for a flexible and reliable Class 2 Driver / Logistics Operative to join their busy team.

The Role

• Deliveries and collections across London and surrounding areas
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and report any issues
• Present all necessary documentation to clients
• Maintain accurate records and trip sheets
• Follow planned routes and report any delays to the office
• Work independently or as part of a larger team
• Support the wider team with operational requirements
• Manual handling, including use of a pump truck and tail lift
• Flexibility is key, as start times can vary

Hours & Benefits

• MondayFriday, 45 hours per week
• Minimum 9-hour working days
• Various start times flexibility required
• 1-hour paid lunch

• Salary circa £39,000, depending on experience
