Job summary

JT Recruit is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for planned cover in the Chesterfield (S44) area. Shifts start around 06:00 and are pre-booked to provide regular, reliable work for a busy operation.

Role involves driving Class 1 vehicles, making deliveries and collections, and completing vehicle checks and paperwork while adhering to tachograph rules. A professional approach and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Must hold valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Must have previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Reliability, punctuality and professional approach.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of vehicle safety and daily checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles.
• Start around 06:00.
• Provide planned cover for existing drivers.
