OUTSOURCE CONSTRUCTION LTD in London is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a specialist main contractor focused on heritage, refurbishment and restoration projects. You will manage the estimating process from enquiry through final bid submission and support securing new contracts.

The role requires strong main contracting experience, ability to read drawings and specs, and a proactive approach to value engineering and risk management. A competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience pricing refurbishment, restoration, heritage or complex building projects.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and tender docs.
• Strong commercial awareness of costs, risk and procurement.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage the estimating process from initial tender enquiry through to final bid submission.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, schedules and other tender information to establish project costs.
• Obtain, review and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost efficiencies without compromising quality or project requirements.
• Assess project risks, exclusions, assumptions and potential commercial exposures.
• Carry out site visits to assess existing conditions, access constraints and project-specific requirements.
• Develop strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal project teams.
• Liaise with commercial, design and operational teams to ensure tender submissions are accurate, competitive and deliverable.
• Contribute to tender adjudications and present estimating information to senior management.
• Prepare tender handover documentation for successful projects, ensuring a smooth transition to the delivery team.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of construction costs, market conditions and subcontractor pricing.
• Support the preparation of budgets and cost plans for projects at various stages of development.
