About the Role

Are you passionate about outdoor work and engaging with the community? Barnsley Museums are seeking a Heritage Parks Assistant to support our award-winning parks at Cannon Hall Museum, Park & Gardens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily park maintenance, including litter collection, bin emptying, and equipment safety checks.
  • Help set up for events and monitor car parks and machines.
  • Engage with visitors and volunteers, providing information and directions.
  • Work on a rota including weekends.
Candidate Requirements
  • Enjoy working outdoors and in green spaces.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Willingness to work weekends and participate in events.
Additional Information

Salary: £24,790 - £25,183 pro rata

Hours: 30 hours per week, Rota pattern (any 4 days in 7)

Contract: Permanent
