Job summary

Forestry England is recruiting for a fixed-term role in the Environment & Nature Recovery Team to support historic environment data collection, analysis and management across the biodiversity programme. The role works with advisors and external partners to ensure data quality and ethical use, while establishing standards and workflows.

You will lead data governance, contribute to reporting, and explore opportunities for innovation and future funding.

Qualifications

• Experience in data collection, analysis and use of historic environment data

Responsibilities

• Support collection, analysis, management and ethical use of historic environment data across biodiversity programme
• Collaborate with historic environment advisors and external partners to collate and manage project data
• Establish and follow data standards, frameworks and workflows
• Support use of spatial, environmental and heritage datasets
• Lead on data governance, quality assurance and compliance
• Contribute to reporting and evaluation
• Identify opportunities to improve data integration and long-term value including funding opportunities
