Job summary

NHS Trust is seeking a Paramedic to join the emergency response team. The role requires HCPC registration, supervision capabilities, and the ability to respond quickly to dispatched incidents with the enhanced care team.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a paramedic is required.
• Ability to provide supervision and training to medical staff during preceptorship.
• Emergency driving duties within the HEMS Paramedic scope and ongoing assessment.
• Opportunity for IPDR discussion and learning needs with the Clinical Operations Manager.
• Ability to respond autonomously guided by procedures, protocols and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Comply with KSS operational procedures and clinical guidelines and respond promptly to dispatch and senior staff.
• Provide an operational response by helicopter or car to all emergency calls without undue delay.
• Remotely support the HEMS dispatcher in identifying suitable incidents for the enhanced care team.
• On arrival, perform dynamic risk assessments and maintain safety throughout the incident.
• Maintain situation updates through the ambulance service command structure and provide supervision during training.
